PFC-Cashwe (CSNL)
Acid Proof Cement As per I.S. 4443-1967
Silica-Carbon filled CNSL base non-porous self-hardning and relatively plastic nature.
Resistant to wide range of Acids, Alkalies, Salt, Solvents, Oils, Grease etc. But it is not recommended for Solvents and Oils, where the temperatur eis more than 90degree.
Can be used in laying and pointing of Acid proof brick and tiles, Mandana for construction of Acid resistant tank flooring. It is also used in pipe joinitng materials.
PFC-FURAN
Acid proof cement As per I.S.4832/II-1969
A furan resin based inpermeable cement. Highy resistant to chemical compounds including acids, alkalies, oils, brines, solvents etc. Can be used in laying and pointing of Acid proof brick and tiles, mandana for contruction of acid resistant tank flooring. It is also used in pipe jointing materials.
The setting of PFC FURAN is affected by change in atmosphere and temperatures, and becomes very slow at low temperature. This could be overcome by keeping the site warm with heaters. The storage and mixing of the solution could be done in a warm place. The bricks may be stacked in checkered fashion,around fire or steam coil.
PFC- K SILICATE
ACID-PROOF CEMENT As per I.S. 4832/I – 1969
A Potassium based cement. Resistant to Acids, Alkalies, Oils, Solvents, Grease etc.
Can be used in laying and pointing of Acids proof bricks and tiles, Mandana for construction of Acid resistant tank flooring. It is also used in pipe jointing materials.
PFC- N SILICATE
ACID PROOF CEMENT As per I.S.4832/I – 1969
A sodium silicate based cement.
Resistant to wide varieties of Acid conditions
Withstands temperature up to 650degree.
Sets very hard and dense. Easy to apply and use.
PFC-PHENOLIC
ACID PROOF CEMENT As per I.S. 4832/II – 1969
A Phenolic Resin based cement. Resistant to wide range of Acids, Alkalies, Salt, Solvents, Oils, Grease etc.
Can be used in laying and pointing of Acid proof brick and tiles, Mandana for construction of Acid resistant tank flooring. It is also used in pipe jointing materials.
PFC-SULPHUR
ACID PROOF CEMENT As per I.S. 4832/III – 1969
A hot-melt type acid proof cement resists oxidizing and non-oxidizing chemicals up to certain limits.
Best jointing cement for acid proof brick/tile lining work in battery charging rooms and electroplating plants. It resists temperature up to 90degree Can be used in laying and pointing of Acid proof brick and tiles, Mandana for cosntruction of Acid resistant tank flooring. It is also used in pipe jointing materials.
PFC-EPOXY
EPOXY BASED CEMENT As per I.S. 4832/II- 1969
A paste type Epoxy based Resin cement and resistant to non-oxidizing acids, Alkalies, Salts and Solvents. Can withstand temperature up to 100degree. Is a widely applicable and versatile material. Available in three component system. The solution, the catalyst and the powder. The catalyst is added about 10% on the weight of solution.
PFC-MASTIC
BITUMEN BASED COMPOUND As per I.S. 9510-1980
A Bitumen based metallic compound of acid resisting grade used as an underlay to acid proof bricks/tiles or stones to act as an impressive membrane. Available in powder form. The mastic has good elastic and chemical resistance properties to prevent seeks and attack of corrosion. It is also sealing fine pin holes and good bonding with subfloor and A R lining.
PFC-PRIMER
As per I.S. 158
An industrial asphalt based anti corrosive PFC-Primer used to protect structures against atmospheric corrosion and effects created by acids, fumes and dry wet gases. The membrane is developed by PFC primer PFC Mastic compound. A hot-melt corrosion resistant cement in slab shape resists dilute acids, alkalies, salt etc. Best for heavy duty industrial flooring and brick/tiles inter-liner material. Effective line system for floor/elevated floors of chemical storage tank-pads in refineries, gas/oil projects.
Erection Note:
When lining the concrete tanks or similar equipment, the concrete should be first protected from the membrane of mastic compound & M.S. Tanks should be protected with rubber or PVC, depending upon the acids being handled and the temperature of the solution. The membrane is then protected with acid-proof brick lining, please consult us for definite recommendations.
After giving enough time for proper curing with acid, the place of brick lining work must be kept dry all times until mortar is hard and ucred.
The bricks should be dry and clean.
Acid-proof bricks should not be put below the temperature of 10degree.
Keep the joints thin up to 4 to 5 mm
Butter the bricks with the excess mortar and slide them in place, then tap them firmly to product thin joints, cut off mortar extruded from the joints.
Allow brick lining work to cure for at least two days, then paint joints with 20% Hydrochloric or 30% Sulphuric Acid before placing in service.
